Little Nonsense app seeks child narrators

Children’s poet and illustrator Colin West is transferring his rhymes from book to screen – and children across the UK are being invited to take part. Little Nonsense is a new iPhone/iPad app based on “The Big Book of Nonsense”  which features nonsense rhymes and tongue-twisters, as well as a selection of games.

Auntie Agnes CatThe app is already available as a free test version with ten poems and two games (no narration at present). The final version will include narration by children. To be in with a chance of inclusion, just record an audio file of your child reading one of Colin’s poems and send it in by e-mail before the end of August. Full details of how to do this are on the website. The best recordings will win a book by Colin and will be featured in the final app, due for release by AppToonz in September 2012.

You can find full details of the competition on www.littlenonsense.co.uk  and www.facebook.com/littlenonsenseuk
